Learn Sales Like How You Breathe #2
Trust me, It's just a breeze in the park
Sales is King,
Others are Secondary
Cheers to the weekend!
Me sipping on my favorite ice lemon tea in the coffee shop in this scorching weather in Singapore,
its like frigging 40 degress/104 farenheit (hell crazy, ik)
Anyways, down to business.
When i was 14 and still schooling, I couldn’t help but think,
Hmmm, what can I do - in exchange for money?
Was it,
Sales
Customer Service
Training to be an Athlete
Fixing engines
Getting allowance money
Opening business
so on and so forth… you get the jizz.
…until my friend told me about this opportunity
But before I get to the detailed and actionable how-tos of how you can learn to be good at being a machine in selling
I’m going to rewind the clock to 2010 and tell you a story that will fast-track your journey to the world of unlimited earning potential
I Sold Ice-Cream Going Door-to-Door
(My First Real ‘Job’)

Ice cream in a block
This was literally the type of ice cream i had to sell, EVERY single door, asking neighbors, on how to sell
(With no guidance, just following the seniors) - you can search this up on youtube too - Door to door sales
First Lesson:
There were no tricks in selling. Sorry to break this to you, it’s pure grit and volume.
Let me explain how it works:
You copied EVERYTHING (script, the way they talk, their body language etc) that works for the high performers
You go to EVERY door and explained the benefits to them
You can be working a full 8 hours on a weekend, and getting 0 sales can happen
You will be questioning, is sales possible for you?
Week in week out, good performers were earning BUCKS,
$100-$150 per day working 4-6 hour shift. (x 20 days = nearly $3k or more)
Not to mention, how much were the great salespeople getting? A penny for your thought.
As a 14-year-old back in 2010, the internet was just a place of information
as least back then, based on what i know as compared to today...
Earning $100 back in day felt like KING on the streets.
Contrary to popular belief,
Sales is for EVERYONE

You will ONLY become what you believe in
In any situation, interviews, sales pitches, talking to friends, conversations between two people comes from influence
Your influence comes from the conviction of something, that you strongly believe in
Let me tell you a secret that no ONE tells you about:
You can sell ANYTHING you want, as long as you set your mind to it.
Here’s a framework that you can use: (mainly for your mindset and your approach)
SALES - Sales Are Learning Everything Simple
S - Solution
Find out their needs, how?
Asking deep questions;
"What features or qualities are important to you when choosing a product like mine?"
“Explain to me, My product has reached this x number of people that are using it, proven results, why won’t it work for you”
Case by case scenario, just a couple of examples.
Why should they choose you? - You gotta be knowledgeable at what you are providing
Be Solution Driven
Instead of looking at the problem - as a problem, it’s a PROBLEM that you can learn from, and overcome it
People want their PAIN to go away, not adding to their problems
You need to be ridiculously rejection-proof. Learn to deal with it, that’s where your value comes in - (notice how i highlight because it’s the most critical part)
Take the goal you didn’t achieve and try a different approach. Doing the same thing over and over to achieve your goal is the definition of insanity.
A - Attitude
See the good, even in a bad situation.
NEVER put down your competitor, it will reflect badly on you, and your brand.
The difference in strategies used by most people and yours is well…
your REACTIONS to situations.
If you met a person that’s unethically selling, find the root of the problem. There’s something that you can take away from his method, apart from being unethical.
Problems are forever and we can’t avoid them. You’ll wake up tomorrow and have problems for breakfast. You’ll jump on the train and read a problem in your email inbox.
The number of critics you have is in direct proportion to your success.
L - Learn
So, what exactly can you learn? EVERYTHING.
Emotions
Bad days are your best friends. They will teach you what triggered you, what you can/cannot control, whether are you emotionally affected etc.
Conversations
The quality of your conversations determines the quality of your life
You get answers by questioning
Conversations will get you to places you’ll never imagine
The biggest one yet: Networking (endless opportunities)
People
Types of people (https://www.16personalities.com/)
Working with different personalities
Execs, VPs, business/startup owners - busy people who wants to leverage - you provide the solution
Stories
Stories sell because people like people who are like them
The best feeling about storytelling is the journey it took to get there
You’ll find their deepest darkest secret
Advantage: Helps you over prepare
Products
Your knowledge, skill, and time is your most valuable commodities
It expands what you already know, or didn’t know yet
E - Enthusiasm
Energy matters. Trust me, this is the BIGGEST of all.
3 tips to determine your sales:
60% Body language
27% Tonality
13% Words you used
Loook at any big sales leader; Dan Lok, Belfort, Cardone, their energy is unmatched.
People can sense your conviction through your energy.
S - Simplicity
Last but not least, use the KISS method.
Keep It Short and Simple.
Use this: The Process of Reverse Engineering
Ex. $120,000 income goal
Take $120,000 / 12 months = $10k per month
$10k / 30 days = $333 per day
$333 / 10 hours = $33 per hr
Don’t kid me, nobody works 30 days in a month unless they’re AI/leveraging/needed money urgently
Keep it simple, don’t overcomplicate the process.
Get hustling, Winners!
