I am lost #6

the world is FULL of information

Are you lost like me?

It’s been a long time since I last wrote this newsletter.

Focusing too much on content and not vomiting out felt like I’m doing disregard to you guys.

So, hang on TIGHT (ladies and gentlemen)

You’re in for a RIDE.

The world is FULL of INFORMATION

Don’t be me.

You are your own creator. Your stories are written based on your experiences.

Nobody can take that away from you.

I started writing on X at the end of December 2023.

My goal was simple: learn copywriting, start to write, find ONE client and monetize it.

What happen? Life happens.

Shiny-object syndrome hits, paid for courses, jumping from one thing to another

If you’re like me - share me about it thru my DMs https://twitter.com/itsMalcolmMak

I lost nearly $5k, was it worth it?

I think I learn in a better way, with an expert.

Never underestimate VALUE (i’ll explain)

Imagine you bought a $1000 laptop with no warranty vs $2000 with 3 years warranty

What will you choose?

My logic is - im saving $1000 for another 2 years!! on what you might ask?

Repair cost, scratches, software issue and many more, you get it..

The point is - INVEST IN YOURSELF

Here’s the truth:

You don’t need to SPEND money if you don’t want to.
(obviously with money, you can accelerate faster BUT it doesn’t guarantee)

I want to talk about advice and coaching and why it sometimes can be dangerous

I used to think that - all I need to do in this life to become successful is take advice from successful people

and as a result of that, I'm going to be successful

I did this for the longest time and i would be so upset and frustrated

(and questioning myself) why am I not more successful

I'm doing everything they're saying that I should do, yet im still stuck in this state and it's often because

…when people give you advice

They don't understand your context
They don't know your strengths
They don’t know your weaknesses
The toolkit that you were born with
They don't know your bad habits

So they give advice that's in the moment only truly valuable to someone that is exactly the same as them and…

as we all already know it - I don't think anyone is the same

We're all very different
We've got a different set of skills with born with different gifts and talents different weaknesses, different strengths.

For the longest time, if we think of it as an equation

Advice = Result

whereas how it should be:

Advice + You + Your Context + Your Set Of Circumstances + Your Strength + Your Weaknesses = Result

We are the HUGE part of the equation that was the key variable that influenced the result dramatically

Recognize your strengths and weakness, work on it, it will paid off eventually
(be patient)

I will leave this here, till the next one

Let me know your thoughts!

Talk soon,
Malcolm
